This article lists the steps on how to remove and replace the 3rd Crossfold Drivebelt (# 10003.0) from a 3 crossfold AT230 folder. This belt is located within the crossfold section of the machine. The image below is viewed from laying down underneath the crossfold section.

1. Loosen the Stacker Door Belts tension roller.
- This takes the tension off the drive roller for the 3rd crossfold.
2. Move the outer two of the six 2nd Crossfold Elastic Belts to the inside positions. Do this on both sides of the drive roller.
- This allows for room to maneuver the roller to allow enough space for the old drive belt to be removed and the new one to be installed.
- You can fully remove some or all of the 2nd Crossfold Elastic Crossfold Belts to give yourself more room, but this is an unnecessary step that takes more time to re-belt after changing the drive belt out.
3. Remove the bolts from both sides of the 3rd Crossfold Drive Roller indicated by the green arrow.
- Both sides must be removed for the roller end to have enough clearance for the belt to get around the roller.
- Roller will be loose, but removing it will not be an option due to other rollers and bearings that will be in the way.
4. Remove both bolts holding the attached safety plate that holds the pulleys in place. These are indicated by the Blue and Orange circles in the picture below.
- Note: the Orange circle identifies the tension pulley on this drive belt system
5. Slightly loosen the tension pulley from the electrical cabinet side. Do not fully remove this bolt. Only loosen enough to allow the tension pulley to slide slightly.
- This is the other side of the bolt indicated by the Orange circle in the picture below.
- You will find this in the electrical cabinet.
6. Slightly loosen the 3rd bolt on the plate and rotate the plate out of position in the direction of the Yellow arrow on the image below.
7. Slip the drive belt off the pulleys and slide it around the drive roller at the position highlighted by the red arrow.
- You may have to wiggle and maneuver the unbolted drive roller, but you should not need to remove any more bolts or rollers to make this happen.
8. Slide the new drive belt into position just as the previous belt had been oriented.
9. Attach bolts to the drive roller.
10. Slide the belt around the pulleys properly.
11. Slide the plate back into place
12. Attach bolts to the plate.
- Be sure to tighten the non-tension pulley bolts first.
- Lastly, tighten the tension pulley that is indicated by the Orange circle.
13. Tighten the tension pulley bolt that is located in the electrical cabinet.
14. Tighten the Stacker Door Belts tension roller.
15. Manually test the 3rd crossfold belts to ensure the drive belt works and tracks correctly.
